BBC urged to include Macs

As with other media providers the BBC is looking to create an on demand service allowing you to view content online, when you want and not when the scheduling dictates. All serious media providers are looking at this method of delivering content; some, like 4OD have already started.

This is good news except if you’re a non-Windows user. The BBC’s proposed service will utilise Windows-only software. IMO offerings such a these should be platform independent.

If, like me, you think the BBC should not be allowed to show commercial bias in this way, or to exclude certain groups of the population from using its services then, sign up to the iplayer petition at 10 Downing Street.
