This post was published 4 years 6 months 12 days ago. Therefore, it may well be out of date. Do not reply on the contents of this post being accurate. On Wed, November 6, FBI Director Robert Mueller gave a speech at Pennsylvania State University about cyber threats to US national security and what the FBI is doing to meet these diverse dangers.
In the speech, Mueller states that the Internet has changed the way we live and conduct business inexorably and, I certainly agree with him. We can no longer operate without the Internet and the World Wide Web. Consequentially, any threats to the Net and/or the Web are as serious as any physical threats we face; potentially more serious IMO.
However, this is not the reason for this post. In the speech, Mueller references a video on YouTube entitled ‘Did You Know’. A quick search on Google brings up the following:
- presentation originally created by Karl Fisch – TheFischBowl
- Info about and Karl’s first version Did You Know?/Shift Happens
- Karl’s second version Did You Know?/Shift Happens 2.0
- A version modified by Howie DiBlasi, I.T. Director, Durango School District 9-R, Durango Colorado
DiBlasi’s version is my favourite. Of course, I haven’t verified any of the ‘facts’ contained within the presentation, however, if taken at face value, it’s quite fascinating.
