Now that I’ve gone all ‘social’ and decided to use del.icio.us tagging I thought my blog categories could do with an overhaul. Coincidently, I’ve just updated my WordPress install to 2.3 and now there’s a ‘tag’ field.

A search on the wordpress.org forums throws up some useful information about the differences between tags and categories in WordPress 2.3. I found the explanation from Lorelle on WordPress to be really useful.

The result, I’ve significantly reduced the number of categories I use. Next up, I plan to go through all my posts and tag each one.
